On Saturday March 13, 2010 the Riverflow Soccer club presents another exciting and unique opportunity for all its members.  Goal Keeper Coach Ian laird is hosting an "Open-House" style event in which all Riverflow players and parents are invited to the attend.  The event will take place at the Wagner Training Facility in Henrietta.
 
Players will participate in goalkeeping drills, training routines, learn about the many roles and responsibilities of this position, as well as be able to ask questions of the coach and of the Riverflow players currently enrolled in the goalkeeper development program. 
 
This event is FREE, and designed to expose all players to the position of the goalkeeper and its unique role in the game of soccer. 
 
Time: 6:30pm-8:00pm 
 
Venue: Wagner Soccer Facility

Riverflow Teams Win RDYSL Sportsmanship Awards!!

Congratulations to the following teams from River Flow Soccer Club, winners of 2009 RDYSL team sportsmanship awards! 

This team won the 2009 RDYSL Team Sportsmanship Gold Award.  They  were issued zero yellow or red cards during their league games.  Congratulations to the entire U10 team.

5210 Be a Healthy Hero

Christopher Hogan and Andrew Huffer, Two University of Rochester Medical students have teamed up to launch a Healthy Hero Initiative for the Riverflow Soccer Club.  


Both volunteer coaches from the boys U17 Travel Team have spear headed this initiative through creating a web page on the Riverflow Website that encourages healthy eating and life style choices. 

"The goal of this initiative is to create in atmosphere of healthy life style choices amongst all Riverflow players and parents," says Christopher Hogan.  Information on this web page includes the food pyramid, physical fitness, off season training, and tips on injury prevention.
